On Tuesday, 24 September, Billmonitor attended the City of London Chamber of Commerce (LCCI) Networking event in celebration of City Giving Day 2024.

This initiative encourages City companies to showcase their philanthropic achievements and support vital causes. The LCCI chose to support three charities for this special day: The Trussell Trust, Smart Works and Suited and Booted.

Billmonitor’s Managing Director, Klaus Henke, was among the many attendees who gathered at LCCI’s Members’ Lounge for a morning of networking. Reflecting on the event, Henke said:

“It was a great event, meeting new and familiar faces on a day that focused on helping others. We at Billmonitor believe that it is important to support such events, not only by attending but also by actively supporting the charities sponsored by the London Chamber – to that end, we chose to make a direct donation to The Trussell Trust on the day.”

The anti-poverty charity Trussell expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting its impact in helping food banks across the UK support people facing hunger and hardship. Their message read:

“Your gift has made a real difference – we couldn’t continue our work without you. Together, we can end hunger in the UK.”

Even the Lord Mayor made an appearance to greet the event’s attendees, on a day when he had a very packed schedule of events to attend.

City Giving Day 2024 was not just about networking—it was about giving back and supporting crucial initiatives like The Trussell Trust that are working towards a future where no one in the UK goes hungry.
