Carbon Reduction Plan

Carbon Reduction Plan

Supplier name: Billmonitor (registered as Optimor Limited)

Publication date: 20 April 2026

Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Billmonitor is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 12 months to 31 March 2025

Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations.

We have prepared our first ever Carbon Reduction Plan, following the Certification of our carbon measurement by SafePlanet on 17 April 2026, covering the financial year to 31 March 2025.

SafePlanet is a UK-based sustainability service and contractor carbon management solution with a focus on supporting SMEs to measure, manage, and reduce their carbon footprints

A copy of the certificate is available on request, please use the contact form and quote ‘Certificate of Carbon Measurement’.

Please note that:

·        Scope 2 emissions have been based on the landlord report for our serviced office, provided by IWG – International Workplace Group and audited by Apex, dated 15 April 2026, which confirms that 100% of electricity is from renewable sources and thus zero rated for emissions.

·        Billmonitor operates fully remotely, with employees generally working from home unless required to travel to client locations or to team meet-ups. All travel to clients or team meet-ups, from home to location, is treated as business travel and fully paid for by Billmonitor. Therefore the relating carbon emissions have equally been treated as Business Travel, i.e. we show zero emissions for Employee Commuting.

·        Billmonitor does not operate any Upstream or Downstream Transportation and Distribution as we provide our mobile phone tariff advisory and cost reduction services over the internet and by telephone. These categories have therefore been classified as ‘not applicable’. The Board has identified this area as requiring a more in-depth analysis to establish if any elements of our carbon emissions for Purchased Goods and Services (56.692 tCO2e) should be disclosed under these categories.

We appreciate that the work we have carried out with SafePlanet in order to create our inaugurate Carbon Reduction Plan for the year to 31 March 2025 may require further investigation.

We have therefore appointed Planet Mark in April 2026 to carry out a more in-depth analysis of our carbon footprint and to help prepare a more detailed analysis for the year to 31 March 2026 and to develop guidelines on how to achieve Net Zero by 31 March 2050.

Planet Mark is a nationally recognised leader in carbon reduction certification, with over 12 years of experience in helping 700+ member organisations reduce carbon emissions, set and achieve net zero targets and generate long-term operational and commercial value.

Current Emissions Reporting

The Current Emissions Reporting is the same as the Baseline Emissions Footprint as this has been our first year of reporting our carbon emissions.

Therefore, baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets. We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years by 2.35 tCO2e by Mar 2030, reaching Net Zero by Mar 2030.

Progress against these targets can be seen in the graph below:

Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

As this is our first year of measuring our carbon emissions, we currently do not have any completed initiatives.

Future carbon reduction initiatives

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

  • Encouraging more customers to purchase refurbished devices, reducing the respective carbon emissions by over 90%
  • As over 90% of our carbon emissions relate to Scope 3 – Goods and Services Purchased, focus on identifying more carbon friendly supplier solutions
  • Encourage employees to use public transport instead of car travel, e.g. by providing annual rail cards

Declaration and Sign Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.

Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.

Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
