We would like to say a huge and heartfelt congratulations to our public sector specialist Sam Fathers, who completed the Virtual London Marathon on Sunday in 4 hours 17 minutes and 32 seconds.
Of his marathon experience, Fathers said:
“At the start of the year I hadn’t done any running since school, and not spent time in the gym since university. However, when NHS Charities Togetherchallenged me to run the Virtual London Marathon for them, I felt like I had to give it a shot.
Fast forward 9 months, and I am pleased to say that I posted a final time that exceeded even my most ambitious target. And, thanks to my sponsors, including staff and clients of Billmonitor, I raised over £1,000 for the charity – the highest of all their virtual runners.
The run was gruelling and challenged me both physically and mentally, but crossing the finish line made it all worth it. Even if the muscle pain the day after was like nothing I have ever felt before! I would like to thank everyone at Billmonitor and our clients who have sponsored me!”
Managing Director Klaus Henke says:
“I was so glad to see Sam more than exceed his objectives, in terms of his running and fundraising for NHS Charities Together. Billmonitor was thrilled to donate to this great cause and I encourage anyone who has a spare penny or two to do the same.”
If anyone would still like to sponsor, please visit Sam’s fundraising page here.
